Adult Partial Hospitalization
Partial
Hospitalization Program
The Partial Hospital Program has been
designed to serve as an outpatient alternative to
hospitalization. It serves person who are
experiencing acute symptoms of an illness that is
interfering with their ability to function at work, in
their usual roles, or cope with life. This is a
short-term program with the goal of returning the person
to the previous level of functioning as quickly as
possible. The team includes: psychiatric nursing,
psychology, psychiatry, and clinical social work.
Admission Criteria
The Partial Hospital Program is
designed for specific individuals who may experience the
following:

psychiatric
symptoms severe enough that the outpatient setting
is not enough to prevent hospitalization,
-
recently
discharged from an acute hospital setting and
demonstrating a need for short-term, intensive
intervention to prevent re-hospitalization, or
-
acute
exacerbation of symptoms that interfere with
functioning in such areas as family relationships,
work, school, and/or activities of daily living.
