Anger Management Services
Next Session
begins Wednesday, January 23, 2008
Woodland Centers offers a 12-week
cognitive behavior anger management group treatment
program. Each weekly group session is 90 minutes
and utilizes a cognitive therapy workbook. Each
weekly group session is 90 minutes and utilizes a
cognitive therapy workbook. The group
program goals are;
1. Teach effective management of
anger.
2. Prevent violence and threats of violence.
3. Develop self-control over thoughts and actions.
4. Receive support from others.
The program is available for men and
women, 18 years and older. Participants are
required to abstain from alcohol and drugs and are
expected to be compliant with any medication treatment
regimen.
Group sessions are scheduled from 4
p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at Woodland Centers, 1125
SE 6th ST, Willmar, MN. It is important that
participants attend each session to complete the
program. Participants may not miss more than two
of the 12 sessions in order to receive a Certificate of
Completion of the program. Participants are
responsible to provide any notification to other parties
of participation and completion of program.
FEES:
$360.00 self-pay; minimum payment of $180 is due at the
first session. Full fee must be paid on or before
the sixth session.
REFERRALS:
Referrals may be made by the participant or by other
referrals sources. Please call Woodland Centers at

program.
NOTICE:
The Woodland Centers' Anger Management
Program does not meet the
Minnesota Statutes 518.10 requirement for domestic abuse
counseling programs or educational programs.
Persons with domestic violence and abuse arrests,
charges, or convictions; or persons with violations of
an Order for Protection or a Harassment Restraining
Order are not appropriate for the Woodland Centers'
Anger Management Program. The Project Turnabout
Domestic Abuse Men's Group is an appropriate resource
for these persons.
