Chemical Health Services
In any year, about 1 in 5
persons age 12 and older abuse or are dependent on
alcohol or drugs. The toll is immense in marital
and family strife, as well as legal, financial and
emotional problems. Each substance abuser affects
the lives of family members, co-workers, employers,
friends and innocent bystanders. Chemical abuse
and dependency can be treated. The substance
abuser can recover to lead a healthy, happy and
productive life. Recovery is possible, but it is
not easy.
Woodland Centers' Outpatient
Chemical Dependency Treatment Program offers help
for the achievement of freedom from the life-controlling affects of alcohol and
other drugs. Outpatient treatment is an alternative to
hospitalization or residential treatment.
The program is designed for chemically dependent
persons, and their families, whose physical and
emotional status allows them to remain in the community
while they work to achieve a chemical-free lifestyle.
Outpatient treatment
includes an initial comprehensive assessment by a
licensed alcohol and drug counselor, individualized
treatment planning, and 7 weeks of 3 times per week
treatment group (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:30 to
9:30PM). One evening each week is devoted to
"family night" when each participant in the
program brings a family member or support person.
After completion of primary treatment, aftercare is one
evening per week(Wednesday) for an additional 12 weeks.
