Psychiatrists
| Dorothy Anderson,
M.D. |
Dr. Anderson
provides child and adolescent psychiatric
evaluations, individual and family therapy, and
ongoing outpatient medication management in
cooperation with psychotherapists. She
also provides consultation to physicians and
schools. |
Dr. Anderson grew
up in rural Lac qui Parle County, received a BA
from Augsburg College, and a medical degree from
the University of Minnesota in 1972.
Dr.Anderson completed a pediatrics residency at
the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by
general and child psychiatry, finishing in 1979.
Prior to beginning at Woodland Centers in 2002,
Dr. Anderson was employed at the Wilder Child
Guidance Clinic in St.Paul Minnesota, at Mendota
Mental Health Center in Madison, Wisconsin, and
was in private practice in rural Illinois for 18
years. Dr. Anderson is certified by the
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and
is a member of the American Academy of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry. |
| Roy Hankins, M.D. |
Dr. Hankins
provides child and adolescent psychiatric
evaluations, individual and family therapy, and
ongoing outpatient medication management in
cooperation with psychotherapists. He
enjoys consultation to family therapists, and
working in school systems. |
Dr. Hankins grew up
in rural Iowa and Illinois, attended college at
Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington,
Illinois, and graduated from Stanford University
Medical School in California. Prior to
accepting employment at Woodland Centers, Dr.
Hankins worked as a family therapist at Wilder
Child Guidance clinic, was Director of Child and
Adolescent Services at Mendota Mental Health
Center, and was in private practice in rural
Illinois for 19 years. Dr. Hankins is
certified in Child Psychiatry by the American
Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. |
David Kerski, M.D.
Medical Director

Dr. Kerski provides
psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, screenings,
and medication management. |
Dr. Kerski received
his bachelor's degree in life sciences from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology in
Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dr.Kerski
completed a psychiatry residency at the
University of Wisconsin Hospitals and a
geriatrics fellowship at WIlliam S. Middleton
Veteran's Administration Hospital, both in
Madison, Wisconsin. He is a member of the
American Psychiatric Association and is Board
Certified in Psychiatry. Dr.Kerski has
been a consultant to a number of Rule 29
clinics; the Institute for Health Quality;
St.Olaf College's Counseling Center in
Northfield, Minnesota; and the Hutchinson
Community Hospital Outpatient Department.
In the past, he also practiced adult psychiatry
in Shorewood, Minnesota; consulted for the
Geriatrci Unit at Willmar Regional Treatment
Center; Park Nicollet Medical Center,
Minneapolis; headed the inpatient Geriatric
Department at the Institute of Living in
Hartford, Connecticut; and conducted commitment
evaluations for the Wisconsin court system. |
| William Meller M.D. |
Dr. Meller has
provided psychiatric services at the Centers
since 1994. Services include evaluations,
diagnoses, medication management, and
screenings. |
Dr. Meller received
his bachelor's degree from Carlton College in
Northfield and his medical degree from the
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. His
psychiatric residency was completed at the
University of Iowa, Iowa City. Dr. Meller
is an associate professor of psychiatry at the
University of Minnesota, and certified by the
American Board of Psychiatry. His is a
member of the American Medical Association and
American and Minnesota Psychiatric Associations. |
| Kristel Hart RN,
CNS, BC |
As an independent
licensed provider, Kristel Hart provides
psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and
medication management for all ages. She is
certified as an advanced practice registered
nurse in adult and in child adolescent
psychiatric/mental health nursing. |
Kristel received
her basic nurses training in Duluth,
Minnesota. She received her bachelor's
from St.Francis University, Joliet Illinois and
her masters in nursing with a specialty in
psychiatry from the University of
Minnesota. Ms Hart has provided services
at Woodland Centers since 2000. She also
was previously employed full time at Willmar
Regional Treatment Center providing both
outpatient and inpatient services to adults and
youth. She has sixteen years of experience
as an independent practitioner. Kristel is
board certified as a clinical nurse specialist
by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. |

| Susan Cassatt,
Ph.D. |
Dr. Cassatt has
joined Woodland Centers in Willmar and
Olivia. Her speciality areas are
children's and adolescent's behavioral,
emotional, learning, and developmental issues as
well as family counseling. |
A 1996 graduate of
the University of Minnesota, she has returned to
Minnesota recently from South Dakota. |
| Louise A Ferry,
Ph.D.,LAMFT |
Dr. Ferry provides
child, adolescent, and adult, psychological
assessments; individual, couples, and family
outpatient therapy; and provides group therapy
in the Illness Management and Recovery day
treatment program in the Kandiyohi and Swift
Centers. |
Dr. Ferry is
originally from the Benson area. She
received her BA in Human Services and Music from
the University of Minnesota in Morris in
1998. She received her MA in Adlerian
Psychotherapy and Counseling with an emphasis in
marriage and family therapy from the Alfred
Adler Graduate School in Hopkins in 2001.
She obtained her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology
from Capella University in Minneapolis in
2007. Dr. Ferry is a licensed associate
marriage and family therapist. |
| Meg Dwyer Lee,
Psy.D. |
Dr. Dwyer Lee
provides a variety of services to children,
adolescents, and adults. She
conducts outpatient psychotherapy and
psychological assessments at the Kandiyohi and
Swift Centers, and group therapy in the Adult
Day Treatment program. In addition, she
also has been involved in the development of
DBT(Dialectical Behavior Therapy) programs at
the Center. She also provides clinical
supervision to Adult Day Treatment, CSP, and
St.Francis Halfway House in Kandiyohi county. |
Dr. Dwyer Lee
received her bachelor's degree in psychology
from Central Michigan University, and her
master's in preclinical psychology from Ball
State University. She was awarded her
doctorate in clinical psychology from Wright
State University in Dayton, Ohio, after
completing an internship at the Detroit
Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Dwyer Lee
joined the Centers' staff in 1994. |
Richard Lee, Ph.D.
Clinical Director |
Dr.Lee is the
Centers' Clinical Director. His primary
assignment is coordinating, supervising, and
delivering services in the Adolescent and Adult
Sex Offender Treatment Programs. |
Born and raised in
the Twin Cities, Dr. Lee joined the Centers'
staff in 1994. Dr. Lee completed his
bachelor's degree in psychology at the
University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He
earned his master's and doctorate degrees at
Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green.

| Steven Thurber,
Ph.D. |
Dr. Thurber works
in the assessment and treatment of children and
adolescents at the Kandiyohi and Swift Centers. |
Dr. Thurber
completed postdoctoral training at the
University of Minnesota(early child
development;early interventions) and the
University of Oklahoma College of Medicine
(pediatric psychology). Dr. Thurber received
certification as a diplomate, American Board of
Assessment Psychology. He was a professor
at Boise State University of Idaho before
relocating to Minnesota. |
| Laura
Weatherby,Psy.D.,RN |
Dr. Weatherby
provides outpatient therapy to children,
adolescents, and adults, both at the Willmar and
Olivia Centers. She also assists with the
outpatient group in the DBT(Dialectical Behavior
Therapy) program. |
Dr.Weatherby, born
and raised in the Delaware/Pennsylvania area,
received her bachelor's degree in nursing from
the University of Delaware in Newark,
Delaware. She received her master's and
doctorate in clinical psychology from Widener
University in Chester, Pennsylvania. Her
internships were at North Philadelphia Health
Systems and Albert Einstein Medical
Center. Dr. Weatherby joined Woodland
Centers' staff in 2004. |

| Pamela Dahl, M.S. |
Ms. Dahl provides
outpatient counseling at the Kandiyohi and
Renville Centers. |
Ms. Dahl received
her bachelor's degree in applied psychology and
her master's degree in counseling psychology
from St. Cloud State University. She
completed course work with an emphasis on
marriage/family therapy at St.Mary's College in
Minneapolis. Ms. Dahl worked for the
Centers' from 1991 to 1992 and returned in 1994
after completing graduate school. Ms. Dahl
became licensed as a marriage and family
therapist in 1996. |
| Lori Dunham
Morton,M.S. |
Ms. Dunham Morton
provides clinical services to the Home-Based and
Youth Day Treatment Programs. She also
provides outpatient services. Ms. Dunham
Morton is a representative to
locally-established committees, organized to
address the mental health services and needs of
children and families in our surrounding
communities. |
Ms Dunham Morton
received her bachelor's degree in psychology
from the University of Minnesota,Minneapolis.
Her master's degree in community counseling was
earned at St.Cloud State University, St. Cloud,
Minnesota. Ms. Dunham Morton joined
Woodland Centers' staff in 1993. |
| Barry Evans, M.S.W. |
Mr. Evans is one of
Woodland Centers' Clinical Services Unit
Directors. He has served in a variety of
clinical and supervisory positions and programs
at the Centers. Mr. Evans provides urgent
care, Employee Assistance Program(EAP), and
direct clinical services to individuals,
families, and children. He serves the
Kandiyohi and Meeker Centers and the Crisis
Intervention Center. |
A Comfrey,
Minnesota native, Mr. Evans received his
bachelor's degree in social work from Wartburg
College, Waverly, Iowa. He received his
master's degree in social work from the
University of Illinois in Urbana. Along
with being a licensed independent clinical
social worker, Mr. Evans is a member of the
Academy of Certified Social Workers. He
also holds a Diplomate in Clinical Social Work
from the National Association of Social Workers.
Mr. Evans has been with the Centers since 1972. |
| Dan Gentile, MS |
Dan provides
diagnostic assessments and evaluations, as well
as, individual and family therapy with children,
adolescents, adults and families. |
Dan received a BA
from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in
1974. He received an MS from South Dakota
State University in 1993. He has been
licensed by the Minnesota Board of Psychology
since 1998. Dan has provided psychological
services in schools, prisons, residential
treatment settings, emergency shelters and
outpatient mental health centers. |
| Alan Johnson,
M.S.S.W |
Mr. Johnson is
currently one of the Centers' Clinical Services
Unit Directors. He is also the Centers'
Clinic Coordinator and County Liaison for the
Lac qui Parle Center in Dawson. Mr.
Johnson provides individual, marital, and family
therapy services in the Kandiyohi and Lac qui
Parle Centers as well. He serves as a
consultant to the Kandiyohi County Girls' Group
Home. |
Mr. Johnson
received his master's degree in clinical social
work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in
1986. He is licensed by the State of Minnesota
as an independent clinical social worker and
marriage and family therapist. He is also
a clinical member of the American Association
for Marriage and Family Therapy. Alan has
been employed by the Centers since 1986. |
| Andy Johnson, M.A. |
Mr. Johnson
provides individual, family, and marital therapy
to clients in Kandiyohi, Renville, and Chippewa
Counties. He also provides clinical
supervision for the HomeBased Program. |
Mr.Johnson received
his master's degree from the Alfred Adler
Graduate School in Hopkins with emphasis on
marriage and family therapy. He received
his bachelor's degree from St.Cloud State
University with emphasis on psychology and
philosophy. He has bee with the Centers since
1991. |
| Karin Johnson, M.A. |
Ms. Johnson
provides outpatient services at the Chippewa and
Meeker Centers. She facilitates an
adolescent group for sexually abused girls at
the Kandiyohi Center. Ms. Johnson has
special interests in the effects of trauma on
child development, depression, sexual abuse, and
spiritual issues. |
Karin received her
bachelor of arts degree in history and in
secondary education at the University of
Minnesota, Minneapolis. She received her
master's degree in counseling and psychological
services from St.Mary's Graduate School.
Ms. Johnson joined Woodland Centers' staff in
1992. |
| Ralph Johnson,
M.S.W. |
Mr. Johnson has
held several administrative positions with
Woodland Centers and served as Director of
Outpatient Services from 1978-2000. He has
a background in philosophy and with this an
interest in incorporating philosophical insights
into his clinical work. In this
connection, one notes that he is an affiliate
member of the American Philosophical
Practitioners Association. |
A Duluth native,
Mr. Johnson earned his bachelor's degree from
Augsburg College, and his master's degree from
Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
He is licensed in Minnesota as an independent
clinical social worker and as a marriage and
family therapist. He is also a Board
certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work and
a Board approved clinical supervisor in marriage
and family therapy. Mr. Johnson has been
full-time with the Centers since 1967 and served
in a part-time capacity earlier. |
| Tim Lucas, M.S.S.W. |
Mr. Lucas provides
outpatient psychotherapy and assessments for
youth, families, and adults at the Kandiyohi and
Chippewa Centers. He also provides crisis
intervention services to youth, families, and
adults at the Woodland Centers' Crisis Center in
Willmar. |
Mr. Lucas received
his bachelor's degree in applied psychology from
St. Cloud State University and his master of
science in social work from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. Mr. Lucas became
licensed as an independent clinical social
worker in 1995 and has been employed at Woodland
Centers since 1984. |
| Lisa DeCathelineau M.A. |
Ms.Strommer
provides outpatient individual and family
therapy for adults and children in Chippewa,
Kandiyohi, and Lac qui Parle Counties. She
provides in-home family therapy in Kandiyohi
County and supervision for the Home-Based
Program. Ms.Strommer also works in the Lac
qui Parle County schools providing assessments
and therapy for children and adolescents.
She also provides family and group therapy in
the Youth Partial Hospital Program. |
Ms. Strommer earned
an AA degree in chemical dependency counseling
from Willmar Ridgewater College and a B.A.
degree in Human Services and Sociology from the
University of Minnesota, Morris.
Ms.Strommer earned a master's degree from the
Alfred Adler Graduate School in Hopkins in 2000
and became a licensed marriage and family
therapist in 2002. |
| Jim Tack, M.S.W. |
Mr. Tack provides
outpatient clinical services working mainly with
marriages, families, and individuals. He
provides marital and family therapy supervision
to other professionals, ranging from interns to
advanced practitioners, and clinical supervision
and consultation to agencies serving children
and families within the Centers' service area.
Mr. Tack coordinates the Swift Center in Benson. |
A Cokato native,
Mr. Tack received his master's of social work
degree from the University of Oklahoma in
Norman, Oklahoma. He is an approved
supervisor and clinical member with the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Mr. Tack has been with the Centers' since 1979. |
