Adult Certified Peer Support Specialists & Certified Peer Recovery Specialists

Certified Peer Support Specialists and Certified Recovery Peer Specialists

Certified Peer Support Specialists: (CPSS) Certified Peer Support Specialists offer support and hope to individuals with mental illness by sharing their story and helping them to discover their strengths. They assist the people they serve by helping break down barriers to community resources and provide encouragement for involvement in community activities that support their goals and interests.  Certified Peer Support Specialists can provide individual or group services. Our Certified Peer Support Specialists include:

  • Sonia Gomez
  • Allison Hague
  • Violet Jones
  • Raven Krasky
Certified Recovery Peer Specialists: (CPRS) Certified Recovery Peer Specialists help a person become ready and willing to seek treatment (if needed) and enter recovery by helping the person explore their options for recovery or treatment.  A CPRS will ask questions, offer insight, and help individuals as they become whole, resourceful, and capable of choosing what is best for them.  The role of the CPRS is to help clients recognize gaps in skills and development and fill these gaps with needed skills.  CPRS services focus on the present and future and are based on partnership with the client.  The peer is not a sponsor or a therapist, but rather a role model, advocate, mentor, and motivator. Our Certified Peer Recovery Specialists include:
  • Shaun McGeary
  • Raven Krasky

*Both services are offered across all seven counties we serve.*
