Woodland Centers Community Art Project FAQ

Just stop in and paint on July 27, August 24, or September 14 from10am – 7pm.

Where are we painting? Willmar Office South Parking lot under a big white tent.

Do we paint on the wall? NO! Everyone receives a 12×12 inch piece of parachute paper that you will sponge paint by number at a table under the big white tent.

How long does it take to paint a square? The time will vary, depending on if you choose to sit and connect with others while painting. Which we encourage. Estimate 15-30 minutes, some will take longer.

How will the pieces painted become the mural? Kristen Allen from New London is our artist, and she will be adhering the painted pieces of paper to the wall to create the design.

Is the design the one in the picture? The mural will be very close to the picture. Of course, it’s art, so it won’t be exact.

Concerned about paint on your clothes? We will have aprons and old t-shirts available to throw over your clothes. We will also have wet wipes for your hands.

Do we/others have to sign up? NO and yes. It is a come and go event for individuals, families, clients, and small groups. If a group has more than 10 people, we have asked that they reach out to schedule a time, by email or calling 320-235-4613 and asking for Kim Madsen – [email protected] or Angie Richardson – [email protected].
